A no parking policy will be introduced on a busy road outside a Fenland school during dropping-off and picking-up times.
Single yellow lines are set to be approved for outside Lionel Walden School on Doddington High Street when Cambs County Council’s Highways and Community Infrastructure Committee meets next Tuesday.
The no parking zones will be in operation between 8.30-9.30am and 2.45-3.45pm on Mondays to Fridays.
Officers say this will reduce congestion around the school and make traffic management in the area easier.
One objector claimed the restrictions will displace parking to nearby side roads but officers say “parking on nearby roads is safer than parking outside or opposite the school where children cross”.
