A FAMILY reunion in March on Saturday will be hard to ‘beet’ - after one woman showcased her unique talent as a vegetable entertainer.

Natalie Hunt, who was born in March but now lives in Sheffield, joined around 50 family members at her father Jeffrey’s house in Norwood Road. Many - including her brother Liam Hunt who lives in Utah, USA - had never seen her perform her Madame Zucchini act before.

Ms Hunt said: “It was a beautiful day and it was amazing meeting up and seeing my brother’s wife Nichi and their children Asher and Molleigh for the first time since they were little children.

“The reunion went really well and the performance of Jaws, with vegetable actors, went down well as it was one of mine and Liam’s favourite films when we grew up.

“We had a session making creatures out of vegetables together afterwards which is always an enjoyable part of Madame Zucchini’s shows.”

Ms Hunt - who’s ‘Mme Z’ character says her favourite actor is Sean Bean - has been a professional vegetable entertainer for around a year. She now performs at parties, fetes, food festivals and a number of other events around the country.

Her mother Eithne, who lives in Clydesdale Close, March, admitted her daughter had “always been quite a character”.

She said: “I’m so proud of her. She seems really happy about what she’s doing and it’s been successful for her so far.

“The day was amazing - it was such a wonderful atmosphere - and her performance added something to special to the reunion. She was very professional throughout and it went down really well.”
