NORTH Bank, near Whittlesey, will be closed from 9.30pm this evening after a flood warning issued by the Environment Agency.
A spokesman for Peterborough City Council, which is responsible for maintaining the road, said today: “Due to a flood warning from the Environment Agency we are going to close North Bank at 21.30 tonight.
“Traffic will be diverted via Pearces Road, Storeys Bar Road, Edgerley Drain Road, Oxney Road, Parnwell Way, Frank Perkins Parkway, Fletton Parkway, Stanground Bypass, A605, B1040 and vice versa.”
Motorists have also been advised to check signage in the morning.
