THIS Chatteris agricultural worker was known far and wide as a racing pigeon man and he did more than most to further the sport in the fens.
He was known as the 'Tithe Rambler' and had articles appearing in five newspapers and a weekly column in the Racing Pigeon.
In spite of his writing activities he still had time to fly his own team of racing pigeons.
This picture was taken in 1960, the year he was honoured numerous times by clubs and federations.
A member of the Chatteris Club, he had flown with them since 1951 and had some considerable successes.
Can you name the man in this picture? Were you involved in pigeon racing in the 1960s?
