FORMER choirboy David Williams was surprised to see a picture of himself taken 40 years ago in our Christmas issue.

David was one of the choirboys from St Peter's Church who were carol singing at Wisbech's North Cambs Hospital during Christmas 1965. He remembers singing the carols for patients and going to the Clarkson Hospital where his father was a nurse.

He also remembers two other choir members, David Eastgate and Larry Chennery. He thinks the man at the front of the picture may have been choirmaster Jim Fletcher.

David continued singing in the choir until he was about 15 years old.
