BUDDING young actors and actresses showed off their talent in a special performance in Chatteris Parish Church in January, 1960.

A large congregation gathered to watch the epiphany play by members of the Sunday School. The play had been produced by their teachers.

The church provided an ideal setting for the play and only a few props were needed. Those watching were said to have found it very moving.

Scenes included the annunciation, the visitation, meeting of the wise men, Herod's court, and the angels' appearance to the shepherds. Between scenes carols were sung by members of the girls' bible class.

Organist was Clive Julian and members of the congregation were in charge of lighting and the staging.

Did you attend Sunday School at Chatteris Parish Church in 1960? Can you remember appearing in this production? Which character did you play? Do you recall the names of the teachers in charge of the production?
