There were 384 complaints made against Cambs Police in 2013/4.
The figures, from the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), represent a one per cent rise on 2012/3, but compare favourably to the rest of England and Wales, which has seen a 15 per cent increase in complaints.
A complainant has the right to appeal about the way a police force has handled their complaint.
Thirty-nine per cent of appeals from the public against Cambs Police were upheld by the IPCC.
Across England and Wales most common complaints involved allegations that an officer has been neglectful or failed in their duty, or that an officer’s behaviour has been uncivil, impolite or intolerant.
