Officers release CCTV images following thefts from opticians in Ely and Chatteris

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a string of thefts from opticians, including a branch in Ely.

Officers want to trace the man after designer spectacles with a total value of about �5,000 were taken from three opticians.

Three pairs were taken from Spectacular opticians in High Street, Ely, on September 18 and 13 pairs were found to be missing from Spectacular opticians, in High Street, Chatteris, just a day later. A further three were taken from nearby Selby and Taylor, also in Chatteris, on the same day.

PCSO Martin Bogunovic, investigating, said: “We are keen to speak to the man captured on CCTV as we believe he may have vital information that could assist our investigation.”
