Fenland District Council's Wisbech Christmas Market was a big hit - it's official.
A survey of shoppers revealed positive feedback about the Christmas atmosphere, entertainment and the absence of cars in the Market Place made Christmas shopping a pleasurable experience.
Shoppers from all over the Fens and from as far away as Nottingham enjoyed a range of Christmas entertainment. Comments ranged from 'good' and 'brilliant' to 'top marks', 'fantastic' and 'if only Wisbech was like this every week'.
While no-one taking part in the survey used the park and ride service, the majority of people came to the market by car.
Councillor Pete Murphy, portfolio holder for Streets Ahead, said: "We went to a great deal of trouble to make the Wisbech Christmas Market a fun shopping experience and I am delighted that shoppers approved of the entertainment laid on.
