An old fridge – being used as a temporary skip- caught fire in the early hours of Sunday.
A crew from Whittlesey fire service was called to the fire at the rear of the Nisa store in Victory Avenue, Whittlesey at 1am.
A fire service spokesman said: “This was a fire in an old fridge which was being used as a temporary storage container unit measuring about 6m by 3m.
“The unit was 100 per cent involved in the fire. Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish it and returned to their stations by 2.15am.”
The cause of the fire is unknown.
