AN Olympic effort by the Friends of All Saints School in March helped raise almost 800 to help provide extra facilities for pupils.

The Mayor of March, Councillor Andrew Pugh, opened the event, which for the first time included a mini obstacle Olympics.

Other attractions at the fete included March Agility Dog Display, the fire service, a choir, and a fancy dress competition.

Chairman of the Friends committee, Paul Roberts, who took part in one of the obstacle races said: “We were really honoured to have the Mayor come and open the fayre. The mini sports was a great success and we would really like to thank the Olympic effort of everyone who ran stalls or displays, as well as the large amount of people who came and donated money.”
