ABOUT 300 visitors went to a Fenland farm on Sunday to learn more about the agricultural industry.
Pates Farm, at Tipps End near Welney, opened its gates to visitors for the second time for Farm Sunday.
The event was hosted by Ken and Debra Goodger, who were helped by several other farmers, family and friends.
Entry was free and there was something to interest all age groups. Visitors could learn about food production, and the growing of essential oil crops such as chamomile and lavender.
There was a nature trail, farm walk, a chance to feed lambs, gun dog demonstrations and pony handling.
"We had people come from a wide area after they had heard what was on offer and decided to come and have a look for themselves," said Mrs Goodger. "We even had one lady from Canada who was on a visit here. We had lots of farm machinery including vintage tractors. People could see how the vintage stuff was dwarfed by the modern machines and how farming had changed.
