One dead after crash on A14 at Alconbury - carriageways closed and diversions in place

A driver has died this morning after a crash on the A14 at Alconbury.

A person has died this morning after a crash on the A14 at Alconbury.

Emergency services are currently on the scene of the accident, which happened on the east bound carriageway, half a mile before Spittals interchange.

The west bound carriageway is currently closed at Spittals and the east bound carriageway is closed at Alconbury and diversions are in place.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to the crash at 7.14am.

“Details are sketchy but one person has suffered fatal injuries.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area or expect delays.”
