ST James Methodist Church was host to an event organised by Joan and Colin Thompson for One World Week on behalf of the Wisbech Circuit. Friends from the neighbouring Circuit of Fenland were also invited. A meal was prepared, cooked and served by Joan and Colin assisted by Jean Dowe, Joy Smalley, Pauline Beeken, Mavis Fox, Bridget Fox and Penny Waldock. Speaker was Lorna Burroughs of NCH who gave a talk of the work of the National Children's Home. The Rev Harry Wood thanked everyone for their part in the evening which raised more than £200 for the NCH.
