THE people of Fenland can get into the Christmas spirit at an open-air ice rink and Santa’s Grotto, due to launch in Peterborough this weekend.
Christmas is set to come to Van Hage in Peterborough Garden Park tomorrow, with Santa arriving by Fire Engine at midday to enjoy a skate on the real ice.
The 200 square-metre rink will open at 9am, with top quality ice skates available in the ticket price.
Visitors will be able to wander through an enchanting themed walkway into Santa’s Grotto, where they will receive a special gift and a Van Hage Christmas Badge.
The Heart FM Angels will also be attending, offering the chance to win free skating tickets throughout the Christmas period. A Christmas Carvery will be available in the restaurant from 12-3pm.
The rink will be open from November 27 to January 9. For full details on prices and to book tickets, visit www.vanhage.co.uk
