TERRINGTON St Clement Village Hall looked more like an Orchid greenhouse on Sunday, thanks to a show organised by the Fenland Orchid Society.

More than 170 people visited the show throughout the day, which was organised by the Fenland Orchid Society.

Exhibitions were also set up by the East Anglia Orchid Society and the Lincolnshire Orchid Society, with sales of exotic plants and flasks, glass jars filled with seedless orchids, alongside exhibitions.

Members of the Fenland society also sold general garden plants and served food and refreshments throughout the day.

David Morgan, chairman of Fenland Orchid Society, said: "The money raised from food, plant sales and entrance fees will go towards paying for any guest speakers we have at our monthly meetings."
