Adventurous pupils at Wisbech Grammar School have been teaming up to try their hand at confidence-building exercises during an outdoor activities week in Shropshire.
The 55 members of the school’s first form, accompanied by five teachers, crossed the country to travel to the Welsh border for five days of outdoor activities at Manor Adventure, near Craven Arms.
The challenges ranged from high ropes, kayaking and caving to archery, a confidence course and initiative exercises and the headmaster, Mr Chris Staley, dropped in for a day to see how they were progressing.
Dr Kevin Mann, head of the middle school, said: “It was a fantastic week. The pupils learned a lot about themselves in meeting the challenges.”
