A 25-year-old man has been committed for crown court trial after denying drink driving, driving dangerously, failing to stop for police, failing to stop after an accident and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Colin Budden of Wisbech Road, Outwell, was arrested after a collision on the A1101, on September 15, involving a BMW and a Vauxhall Vectra.

He is charged with failing to stop after a collision in which damage was caused to another vehicle, failing to stop after being required to do so by a police officer and driving with excess alcohol on the A1101 and A1122.

He is also charged with driving dangerously on the A1101 and A1122 and committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice.

Budden entered not guilty pleas to all five charges at King’s Lynn magistrates today. He was given unconditional bail to attend Cambridge Crown Court on February 2.
