Police made two arrests overnight for drink driving offences – in March and in Wisbech.

Cambs Police said that the driver of a car they stopped on the Causeway, March, was arrested for both drink driving and for using a vehicle without insurance.

In Wisbech, shortly after 3am, they made their second arrest after a driving was taken into custody for failing to provide a breath test.

Police also warned that, in instances such as that in March, they had the power to seize the car too.

Using the hash tag ‘we take your car’ police posted photos on Twitter of both the car they seized from the Causeway and of a recovery vehicle taking it away.

Officers also posted a further photo to Twitte.

This time it was of a car they pulled over last night on the A141 near March.

“100mph on the A141 at March will get you stopped by officers,” police tweeted with a photo taken at the scene.

Two days earlier police had stopped another car, also on the A141, when the driver had no insurance. They later found other offences too.
