Overnight thieves have raided a farm and stole £52,000 worth of equipment – including a John Deere mini tractor.
A police spokesman said the theft happened between February 10 at 5pm and February 11 at 9am when “a high value burglary has occurred at a local farm to the village of Manea.”
The spokesman said offenders forced access to a large storage unit by damaging security locks.
Having gained entry they stole:
• A green John Deere 3720 (mini tractor) index AE13 APK,
• An IFOR Williams LM166G trailer index displayed AU02 SCV.
• A Verti-drain 7316 tractor attachment
• A front loader 300CX.
This equipment amounts to approximate £52,000 in value.
The spokesman said: “The tractor has unique markings such as a child’s hand print on the cab roof lining, and additional working lights on the rear of the cab.”
Detective Sergeant John Yore, at Ely police station has said: “This type of crime strikes at the heart of our rural economy.
“We need the support - the eyes and ears - of our residents to work with us to recover these assets and bring these offenders to justice.
