PARENTS will get the chance to quiz the new sponsors of Neale-Wade Community College at a meeting to discuss its conversion to an academy.
The Active Learning Trust was selected as the March secondary school’s preferred sponsor earlier this year.
Clive Bush, the trust’s chief executive, and Gary Peile, director of operations, will outline their plans for Neale-Wade at a meeting later this month.
Parents, carers and businesses have been invited to attend and discuss the academy conversion process.
Principal Jason Wing said: “I am excited about working with the trust as they are a highly experienced group of educationalists with a proven track record in school improvement.
“We are already making progress at the college and this was confirmed by last summer’s examination results and the recent Ofsted monitoring visit.
“I am confident that The Active Learning Trust will assist us in our quest to be a good and then outstanding school.”
The meeting will be held at the school on November 27, from 6.30pm.
Neale-Wade was placed in special measures after an Ofsted inspection in March but a monitoring visit has since found the school to be making “reasonable progress”.
