Having received information from Supporting Play in Fenland it was agreed that more play facilities would be of benefit, and the proposals were forwarded for appraisal. It was also reported that council allotments were available and residents interested in hiring one should ring the clerk.

Two street lights are to be replaced this year, one at the Sutton Road junction with Parson Drove Lane, and the other at The Chase. Therefore, no new locations can be considered.

As the volunteer committee of parishioners could not continue to develop the Parish Plan, Philip Eden, from Cambridgeshire Acre, wishes to meet councillors to discuss the way forward for the parish to meet the requirements of Quality Status.

The council news sheet to be delivered to every home three times a year means that Leverington is very near to achieving this status.

The jointly funded minor improvement scheme was discussed and parishioners are urged to let the council know of any scheme they feel may enhance the quality of life in the village.
