AT the latest meeting of the parish council held at the primary school, it was reported that the footpath on Mill Road has been repaired and that the collection by village members and members of the parish council raised £707 for the village postman. A member walked the footpaths during the month and found that some areas had shrubs impeding the paths. The affected areas have now been dealt with by councillors. Members noted that there are some overgrown conifers near the Rose and Crown footpath. A member will ring Norfolk County Council to arrange a meeting to discuss this. It was reported that people still park on the double yellow lines outside the village shop. The clerk will report the matter to the police. Now that the council realises it is responsible for maintenance of the memorial in the churchyard, the clerk will obtain an estimate for the work. The next meeting of the parish council will be on Tuesday, October 2 at the Primary School (7pm).
