BEFORE the start of the latest meeting of Outwell Parish Council David Mead from West Norfolk Borough Council spoke to the council about a building proposal which will accommodate affordable housing. This proposal is in its early stages and parish councillors await the borough council's final decision. Councillor Paul Brenchley reported that meetings had been held with the local youngsters and David Rodwell, and it was hoped a grant would be available to enable a drop in cafe to be provided.
The youngsters have to apply for the grant themselves, and run this venture.
Cllr Brenchley also reported that bookings for the hall were increasing and the committee was still waiting to hear if it is to receive a £15,000 grant for the Big Lottery Fund.
Next meeting: February 6, St Andrew's Church (7pm).
