NAME your gnome but make sure you fasten a tag securely is part of the advice being offered by a March police woman.
PCSO Dawn Rae told readers of the Shape Your Place community website that too many people are having items stolen from their gardens.
In recent weeks, she says, thieves have stolen a number of items including a large rotovator, a set of gold metal garden furniture and outdoor solar lights.
She said “I have found that items marked with a permanent marker pen usually are left behind as they cannot be sold on.”
PCSO Rae also asked for residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour.
