A person has died after being struck by a train at Waterbeach this afternoon.
British Transport Police were called to the line close to Cambridge at 4.03pm today after reports that a person had been struck by a train.
A spokesman said: “Officers from BTP attended the incident, alongside colleagues from the ambulance service.
“Sadly the person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
