A MAN has been charged after two police officers were assaulted in Whittlesey.
The officers suffered slight injuries in the assault, which happened during the early hours of Sunday while they tried to arrest a man on suspicion of drink driving.
The man, aged 26, from Peterborough, was arrested and charged with two counts of assaulting an officer and one count of failing to provide a specimen.
He will appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on April 29.
