MARCH and Wisbech rugby players staged a challenge match in memory of pub landlord Mick Smith.
The popular publican who was landlord of the Acre, March, died last month aged 58.
Because Mr Smith was both a supporter and sponsor of March Rugby Club, players staged the match at the Braza sports field and hope it will become a regular fixture each season.
Wisbech were the first winners of the Mick Smith Challenge Trophy donated by Mr Smith's widow, Patricia.
