MONEY to repair all of Fenland's car parks will be found, councillors were told by Councillor Peter Skoulding.

The portfolio holder for finance told councillor: "We will not tolerate an unsafe car park. Money will be found."

He was responding to criticism from Labour councillors over the state of some of the district's car parks, including Church Terrace, Wisbech.

"All our car parks are in need of work," said Labour leader Steve Cawthorne. "Some are full of potholes, and they are getting deeper."

Gary Garford, director of business and infrastructure, said drainage work to improve Church Terrace would begin in April. And he said the council would not leave urgent repairs unattended.
