“A BIT of rowdiness which was calmed down by our presence” was the way a police spokesman today described their handling of loud music being played last night in a Fenland field.
A group set up speakers yesterday evening in the field off the A141 Isle of Ely Way, March, close to West End Park.
Police were called at 10.20pm yesterday about the disturbance. The spokesman said there was loud music, glasses being smashed and shouting.
The spokesman said: “Officers went to the scene and found a group of men. They spoke to the group about the complaint and they turned the music down. They said they would leave if there were any more complaints.
“It was a bit of rowdiness which was calmed down by our presence.”
