The victim of a serious sexual assault in a March park was a woman in her 30’s, police said.
The assault took place in the North Drive Park park area at around 8.50pm on Sunday (6) evening.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said they were called to reports of a “serious sexual assault” on a woman in the Wigstone’s Road area.
“The investigation is ongoing and anybody with information should call 101,” the spokesman said.
An area measuring about 50 metres, that stretches from the Wigstone’s Road bridge along a pathway in the park towards the BMX track, was cordoned off at about midnight and remains under surveillance by a police officer.
