POLICE are trying to trace a woman who punched a Wisbech publican in the face after he refused to serve her.

Joe Hill, landlord of the Black Bear, in Old Lynn Road, was closing up at around 12.15am on Sunday (October 23) when three women arrived and demanded a drink.

When he said the pub was closed one of the women punched him in the face, knocking his glasses off.

Police have described the offender as white, aged 18 to 19, 5’6’’, slim and with blonde hair. She was wearing a beige jacket and hoop earrings.

Detective Constable Ahmed Ishaq, investigating, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.”
