POLICE are investigating possible links between four incidents of criminal damage in March, between 8pm on Friday and 9am Saturday .
The first incident took place at around 3.30am on Saturday on West End where a bedroom window was smashed. When the resident looked outside he could see eight youths on the street.
The second incident took place between 2am and 9am on Saturday on Station Road where the downstairs window to a property was smashed.
The third incident happened between 8pm Friday and 7.30am Saturday. A white Ford Transit van parked on Regent Avenue had several windows smashed.
The fourth incident took place between 3.40am and 4.15am Saturday on Gordon Avenue. Offenders broke into the Old Town Library and smashed between 15 and 20 windows in the building, the lights were turned on and three youths were seen inside.
They are described as being between 16 and 19 years old, one of them had blond hair and was wearing a white striped top, the other two had dark hair and were wearing dark clothing.
PCSO Marie Quentin said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may recognise these descriptions.
"Officers are now investigating these acts of mindless vandalism and we would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may know who is responsible."
