Last week police say they were called to a suspected burglary at the restaurant but left soon afterwards after concluding the incident was “a civil matter”.

Today police are back at the scene – this time ensuring a removal lorry can go about it business of clearing the restaurant.

A police car and a police van were sent to the Riverside Steakhouse in Elwyn Road, March, at around 5.20pm last Wednesday.

“We were called on April 6 to reports of an attempted burglary in Elwyn Road, March,” said a police spokesman.

“No arrests were made.”

The Steakhouse opened earlier this year but closed for a short period to recruit new staff.

It later attracted good reviews on Trip Advisor with one recent comment describing service as “friendly and jovial” and the family party exceptionally happy with their meal.
