WISBECH and the surrounding area fell victim to a spate of burglaries and other crimes last month.

Cambridgeshire Police’s Crime Monthly Update revealed that four burglaries and ten thefts took place in February.

There were also several reported instances of criminal damage and one incident of common assault, where a man got out of his car in Guyhirn and assaulted two men.

House burglaries took place in Murrow and Friday Bridge, while fishing gear and power tools were stolen from sheds in Leverington and Gorefield.

A car was stolen from outside a person’s house in Gorefield, two go-karts were snatched from a garden in Leverington and a quad bike was taken in Newton.

A concrete statue was taken from a garden in Gorefield and a washing machine was stolen from the front garden of a house in Guyhirn.

Criminals stole a satellite from a tractor in Coldham and diesel was taken from a tractor in Four Gotes.

Tyres were slashed on a car in Wisbech St Mary, a window was smashed at a house in Elm and wheelie bins were damaged in Parson Drove.

Thieves pilfered sandwiches from a store in Guyhirn and solar panels were stolen from a house in Christchurch.
