A MONTH after three dispersal orders were introduced in March officers are reminding teenagers in the town how they work and how to avoid breaching them.
Sgt Robin Cawston: "The dispersal orders are there to stop groups of people congregating in areas around George Square and City Road. They cover the children's play area in West End Park, the George Campbell Leisure Centre and an area around George Square and City Road.
"This doesn't mean children can't play in the park, but it does mean that groups of teenagers cannot hang around in areas covered by the orders. If youths are found congregating in those areas - in breach of the orders - they will be moved on by police and PCSOs."
Dispersal orders last six months unless renewed.
