POLICE are trying to trace an elderly woman who may have witnessed an assault in March last Wednesday (September 26).
The incident happened on Robingoodfellow’s Lane at around 11.15am. The victim was left shaken and with minor injuries after a man ran up behind him and punched him.
PC Anita Radley, investigating, said: “I am keen to speak to an elderly lady who witnessed the assault and may have vital information about the offender.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to call police.”
