YOU would not believe it. According to an educational project sponsored by the EU, Hertfordshire is in eastern Scotland and Eastbourne is in the east of England.Spring Day in Europe is "is an annual citizen-driven event project on democracy and citizenship where young people learn topical European issues".It attempts to enlist schools to join together in activities. The results for the east of England are much in line with my expectations, that is very low; one school only is listed on the project's website. How an educational project of any sort can make such a crass mistake beggars belief. I see it as a symbol of the EU's uncaring attitude to the everyday life of people in the UK and other countries. This indifference does not prevent it from wanting to control more and more of our country's affairs. We already have a situation where about 70 per cent of new legislation is forced on us by the EU. We really would be better off out of the EU.TOM WISEMEP Eastern CountiesHigh StreetLeighton Buzzard
