I AM writing a book on the history of the Coventry City Supporters Club, which was formed in 1920 and would like to feature photographs of all founder members, some of which are proving difficult to obtain.

Oliver Hollowell, who was born in Kettering in 1874, is one of those founder members whose picture I require. I hope a relative will come forward to provide me with the necessary information.

Mr Hollowell died in Coventry on February 20, 1921, aged 46, just seven months after the formation of the club. He married Mabel Billups, in North Witchford, in 1912. In 1920, Oliver and Mabel lived at the rear of 22 Foleshill Road, Coventry.

Mabel Billups was born on June 11, 1894 (place not known), and died in Northampton in February 1986, aged 91. Her mother was Ethel Billups, and a woman with that name was born in North Witchford in 1878. In 1920 Ethel Billups lived at 26 Springfield Road, Coventry, along with Jonathan, Caroline and Percival Bidmead. An Ethel Billups died in Wisbech in 1958, aged 79.

Other Billups deaths, all at North Witchford, are: 1924, Elijah Billups, 86; 1933, Clara Billups, 84; 1934, Maria Billups, 88; 1935, Daniel Bullips, 72; 1936, Jessie M Billups, 72; 1937, Ann M Billups, 77.

The purpose of my book is to record the history of the Supporters Club for posterity and give the founder members the recognition they deserve. Any profits from the publication will be allocated to the Coventry City FC Academy Appeal Fund.
