WE have seen this week the blatant hypocrisy of Gordon Brown calling for a Britain day from a Government that won't even recognise St George's Day; and the national papers carry a story of the EU constitution being sneaked in without the British people having a referendum.People say we are a one-issue party. At present we are fighting the installation of a mobile phone mast in Wisbech, street signs missing in Elm, the Doddington Hospital disaster. We know the importance of local issues and will fight for what we feel fair and just. But the ability to fight will be swept away by the continuing encroachment of the unelected grey men of Brussels. I am using on the Freedom of Information Act to find out how much council tax is being siphoned away to the Brussels-controlled regional assemblies. Six weeks ago I sent a personal letter to David Cameron asking his attitude and intentions on this question, to date no answer. Finally ask the British people or just the people of Fenland is our membership of the most corruption-ridden organisation ever worth more than the £3,700million a year it's costing.LEN BAYNESChairman UKIP Fenland
