AS Britain's relations with Europe become ever more important, I and my fellow MEPs face a huge demand from schools for information, speakers and role-playing games that illustrate how the EU works.

This spring a new programme of initiatives for schools is being launched by the European Commission, with the support of the Parliament. Any school that wishes to take part should register on www.springday2006.org
