A crawler tractor owned by four generations of a March family has been restored and won a prize at the first rally it entered.
The Caterpillar D2, worked on by Gordon Pooley and his sons Jonathan and Daniel, won the John Bradford Memorial Cup for the best crawler at Haddenham Steam Rally.
The machine, dating back to 1939, was first used by Gordon's grandfather, Thomas Pooley, when he worked at Sears Brothers at Manea about the time of the Second World War.
When he retired, it was passed on to his son Basil, but when he moved away he could not take it with him and so he handed it to Gordon and his sons.
