WINNERS of last year's quiz, led by chairman Reg Wenn, were up against strong opposition this year to retain the Probus Rose Bowl.
A buffet was provided this year by club members' wives and friends. The evening was arranged and presented by social events secretary and quizmaster Terry Shad.
This year's winner was Alf Beazeley with his wife Pat and friends, scoring 30 out of a possible 40 points. He received the Rose Bowl from the chairman.
Next meeting: Monday February 12 (10am).
