A March police officer has been recognised for his work in raising the profile of tissue donation.
Pc Steve Hunwicks received a shield and £100 at a special presentation at March Police Station.
It is the sixth year the shield has been presented by March mum Maureen Feary in memory of her son Martyn, who died in a car crash at Guyhirn seven years ago.
Mrs Feary, of Yarrow Close, awards it to someone who has gone out of his or her way to highlight the need for tissues for transplantation.
She was delighted Pc Hunwicks was receiving the prize because he was the officer who had talked to her after Martyn's death and had mentioned tissue donation.
Martyn, 24, had carried a donor card since the age of nine but his organs could not be used because he was certified dead at the scene of the accident. However, his eyes, skin and tendons were used to help a number of people.
