CUSTOMERS at a bakers in March were urged to cycle for charity yesterday, as Pudsey Bear took to the exercise bike for Children in Need.
Greggs Bakers, in Broad Street, have been raising money by urging people to ride an in-store exercise bike for a combined total of around 100 miles - the distance from March to the BBC Television Centre in London.
Spurred on by Pudsey Bear, customers and staff took to the bike to make their contribution to the marathon journey.
Donations to Children in Need were collected in the store and staff hope to reach their target of 1,000.
Since its formation in 1980, BBC Children in Need has raised more than 500 million.
