St Peter’s Junior school’s worship council helped organise the harvest festival assembly and a collection of goods for the local food bank.

Part of the school’s Christian value has been ‘thankfulness and each pupil has written on a leaf ‘I am thankful for …’ and put it on a thankful tree, which formed a display in the school

The children held the harvest assembly on Thursday (13) for parents and friends to share poems and thoughts about harvest. Hymns were also sung during the event.

Keith Aplin, who is vice chairman of the school’s governors and a representative of the Wisbech food bank also attended together with Tony Peppercorn, chairman of governors.
