QUIZ lovers dug deep into their pockets as they helped Sandra Ransome’s annual charity quiz night raise more than 600.
The quiz, held at a packed March Conservative Club, raised money for Sue Ryder Care at Peterborough’s Thorpe Hall. The cause is close to Sandra’s heart because her husband Steve died from cancer just five years ago.
Her annual quiz nights have already raised more than 2,000 and the winning team, The Dimwits, donated their prize of 25 back to Sue Ryder Care to further boost the night’s donation.
The quiz was followed by a raffle draw with John Lattimore, who also ran an auction of gifts re-donated by raffle winners.
Sandra thanked everybody for attending and the Conservative Club’s chairman and quizmaster Steve Bradshaw for his and the committee’s support.
