Nine teams put their general knowledge to the test at a quiz night held inside a Fenland church last Thursday.
Close Encounters won the contest which was the highlight of an evening’s entertainment put on by The Friends of Leverington Church at St Leonard’s Church, Leverington, which raised £167 for church funds.
Quiz Masters were Gerry Woodhouse and Tim Smith ably assisted by Margaret Smith.
A raffle was also held, with first prize, a champagne hamper, going to Jenny Corner.
The event was organised by Terry Arnold, who along with her team of ladies provided the refreshments which were paid for Thelma Hewitt.
