RAIN failed to dampen the spirits of the 13th Alabama Civil War Reinactment Society, even though their demonstrations at a Fenland pub were cut short on Saturday.
The society ran demonstrations of musket firing and amputations at the Golden Lion pub in Stonea and set up a campsite scheme.
However, the demonstrations were cut short because of the rain.
Mandy Grima, landlady of the Golden Lion, said: “It was a very good display until it was sadly cut short, and the people who came for the event enjoyed it.”
It is hoped will return later this year to repeat the event.
