The air ambulance was despatched to Chatteris when a man was left unconscious after falling down the stairs.
The man, in his 60s, fell down a flight of stairs at his home.
The yellow East of England Air Ambulance Trust rapid response team landed in Glebelands playing field to deal with the incident which happened in High Street today at about 1.18pm.
A spokesman for the EEAAT said: “When the call came in the man was unconscious, so we treated it as a suspected cardiac arrest, but thankfully it wasn’t and he was conscious when he was taken to Peterborough Hospital in a land ambulance.”
